RAISING UP THE STANDARD.

In early 2012, the new Psychiatric Unit was formally opened at Letterkenny General Hospital.

Funds Raised:

After a huge fundraising campaign the Friends donated in excess of €750,000 to this project.

What does it do?

This new unit replaced an existing Psychiatric Unit on the same location and helped bring patient comforts to an exceptionally high level in a modern day Mental Health Service unit. The Friends ensured that the completed unit included facilities such as courtyards and gardens, games and pastime facilities and family rooms, which might not otherwise have been possible.
