Celebrity Chef Kevin Dundon’s cookery demonstration was held in the Clanree Hotel, Letterkenny on Wednesday, 12th September 2018 in aid of the Friends of Letterkenny University Hospital (LUH) and Conwal Parish Church. Mr Dundon of Dunbrody House, County Wexford fame, entertained a large audience with his wit, charm and of course, his cooking prowess. A lucky few of the audience were selected at random to sample his cooking at the end of the night.
Kelly’s Toyota, Port Road, Letterkenny were the main sponsors of the night. A host of other companies such as Salt Caves, O’Donnell’s Bakery, LK Credit Union, Baavet, Studio Coffee, Coole Swan liquor, Donegal Food Tours, Oakfield Park, The Birds & the Teas, Arnold’s Hotel, Bog Hopper Breweries, Kennedy’s Bacon and the Clanree Hotel took out stalls on the night to display their wares.
A lucky member of the audience won a door prize of a two-night stay in the Bonnington Hotel in Dublin. Many more were winners in a raffle kindly sponsored by Irwin’s Electrical, Carpet Interiors, Shandon Hotel, Dunbrody House and many others.
Mr Peter Cutliffe, Chairman of the Friends thanked all for supporting the event, inclusive of the main sponsor Kelly’s Toyota and all the other companies who paid for stalls to display their wares on the night. He also thanked Grace Ann McGarvey and the organising committee made up of members of the Friends, Conwal Parish Church and the Clanree Hotel for their efforts.
